Hiya!
So, last time I wrote about the Angry Video Game Nerd, one of those guys who became popular because of posting things on YouTube. Well, the reason why I started to watch his videos is because I looooooove watching stuff on YouTube. Who doesn’t… besides people who don’t have computers, I mean.
I think YouTube is probably one of the most important websites now. Maybe the most important website now. Yes, I know there’s Facebook and Twitter and they’re fine and all. But unlike those sites (I do have them but I don’t really use them), I will look for videos on YouTube for at least two to three hours… a day!
There are some channels that I go to regularly. One of them would be the Kids React videos and their other spin-offs. I get a lot of pop culture references and it’s pretty refreshing to see how other people react to stuff. Sure, I know a lot of people can get annoyed with the kids (since they may think they’re intentionally acting cute), but they can really be funny and innocent a lot of the time. My favorite one is the one with Nyan Cat!
Another series of videos would be the Epic Rap Battles of History. I saw my first video by accident. This actually took me by surprise since, well, I don’t like rap music. But when I got my first taste of it (Ghandi vs. Martin Luther King), I actually finished all of the videos in one sitting because, for one, the beat and raps were extremely well made and, two, they make a big production for them, which I do appreciate.
What I don’t appreciate are some of the comments you see on a lot of the videos. I’m not a prude or anything but sometimes people can go out of control with their comments. The scary thing for me are the trolls. They’re just there to post comments and say things to get people mad. I know they do this since they think it’s safe to do since they can do this with relative anonymity.
This isn’t true and I had to learn this the are way. I can say, from personal experience, if you’re not careful, there are people that can harass you, even online. I’ll get into more detail on that next time.
How about you? Are there some vids or channels on YouTube that you go to regularly? Please leave them in the comments section below!
Byee!
