A Whole Bunch of Predictions for Not-E3

The first week of June means different things to different people. For the people in my area, the Philippines, it’s finally the end of the blistering summer season. For others, like in the United States, it’s the start of another blistering summer season. Some like to think of it as the midpoint of a terrible 2026 while, to others, it’s the midpoint of a great 2026. But for gamers, the first week of June is going to be “Not E3” week!

Yes, this is the week where the video game industry tries to put their best foot forward and promote all their upcoming products with new trailers, stealth drops and the like! And there are a lot of shows wherein they can do that, such as Sony PlayStation‘s State of Play show, Geoff Keighley‘s industry spanning Summer Game Fest presentation, Microsoft Xbox‘s Xbox Games Showcase program and a lot of smaller shows as well as some trailers that’ll just pop up because it is Not E3.

As there are going to be a lot of shows throughout the week, I can’t just give my predictions on one individual show. No, I have to make a whole slew of predictions on what is going to be revealed throughout the entire week! We have a lot to go through so lets not dilly-dally! Let’s start with the predictions!

A new full-length trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI

Let’s go start with the biggest game. Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games promised Grand Theft Auto VI isn’t going to be delayed anymore. So it seems like the game is on track to get released in November of this year. So, it only makes sense for them to release a brand new trailer showing off more of the world, the characters and the actual story during Not E3!

This last Grand Theft Auto VI trailer will definitely be shown off during Summer Game Fest. Heck, most people are better it’ll be the one to close out the show, which makes sense. It is the biggest game of the year. I don’t really see this as a big surprise. It’s just something you can count on. What is going to be surprising is the length of the trailer. I’m guessing it’ll be somewhat longer than normal as they’ll also have to feature a lot of the new gameplay features Rockstar Games have added to spice things up.

Outfit 4 for Ryu and Ken and the Season 4 DLC Characters for Street Fighter 6

Capcom has had a banner year so far and I’m predicting they’re going to try and capitalize on their success by releasing a whole bunch of DLC for their games, starting with flagship fighting game, Street Fighter 6. Now, one of the biggest complains I’ve heard from Street Fighter fans is how Capcom has been dragging its feet on putting out new costumes for the roster. Well, it’s soon to get better as they’ve confirmed there will be no more added content for World Tour, which would free up people to work on other stuff… like costumes!

The question is who will be getting new costumes first? Well, if I had to venture a guess, it would be for the poster boys of the series, Ryu and Ken. But what would their Outfit 4 look like? I’m betting Capcom is going to go for some synergy and giving them Ryu’s “hobo” costume and Ken’s “MTV party boy” look from the upcoming live-action Street Fighter movie. We’ll get a brief glimpse of the design art during the State of Play and will be released when the film is shown in theaters.

But that’s not all! Last year, Summer Game Fest revealed the Season 3 character for the game and I definitely expect them to do the same thing this year as well. Now, there are rumors on who these new characters will be and I’ll be pleasantly surprised if this leak turns out to be legit because I don’t really believe it. Regardless, expect to see who are the Season 4 characters at Summer Game Fest.

Pragmata DLC announcement

Like I said, Capcom has had a great year and they’ve even done something a lot of video game companies wish they could do lately: release a very successful original IP in Pragmata. So, I’m betting, once Capcom saw they had a huge hit on their hands, they went back to the team behind the game and asked them if they can create some more content for the game.

They’ll probably reveal it during Summer Game Fest but, knowing Geoff, they’ll try to capitalize on probably the most adorable character in Pragmata, Diana. I can just see Geoff Keighley talking about something on state when the stream gets hacked and we see Diana on the big screen behind him. They’ll talk for a while, mentioning how successful the game is and whatnot. Then Diana will casually mention there’s more stuff in store for gamers in the form of DLC. Now, I’m not sure what this DLC will be. It could be more story missions or even a prequel of Diana’s life before everything went pear-shaped. Anyway, after the announcement, she’ll do little dance or something before waving goodbye. The live crowd will just eat it up!

The reveal of the Villains team for Marvel TOKON

Marvel TOKON’s official release date is coming soon in August. And yet we only have three full teams of four confirmed. Two other teams, the ones led by Doctor Doom and Ghost Rider, have yet to have a completed roster. That’s all going to change during State of Play as they’re probably going to reveal who’s joining Doctor Doom’s team of Marvel Villains.

The safe bet on who’s going to be part of the baddie brigade is Magneto. If I had to garner a guess, I’d have to say it would be Ultron and maybe Loki. These are my guesses and they might be wrong. Heck, I’m gonna say Loki won’t be there even though that’s my prediction because the folks at Arc System Works has so far thrown in a newer character as the fourth member of each team so far. Either way, we’ll get to see who the villains team in Marvel TOKON is.

Clockwork Revolution finally gets a release date

Does anyone remember way back in 2023 when they revealed Clockwork Revolution? Or what about the time in 2025 when that year’s Xbox Games Showcase showed off a hefty five minute trailer for the game? Well, based on that trailer, it did look like Clockwork Revolution was fairly done. All it needed was a little fine tuning and some polish. With that being the case, I do believe the game is due for a release date reveal! And that’s probably going to happen at the Xbox Games Showcase later at the end of the week.

Here’s the thing: I actually believe this game is going to be shadow dropped on the same day! There are a couple of reason why. First, like I said, Clockwork Revolution looks like it was already done last year. So, why not release it if it’s ready. Second, Xbox is going to try to avoid the Holiday season because that’s when Grand Theft Auto VI is going to be ready (if it doesn’t get delayed again). So, yeah. This will be the big surprise for Xbox Games Showcase.
