Now, here’s something weird. X-Men: Days of Future Past will apparently be continuing the story of three film series… that belong to the same franchise! These would be the original X-Men trilogy (which ended with The Last Stand), the prequel which was called X-Men: The Last Stand and the two Wolverine films. Of course, fans of the comic series really loved the Days of Future Past storyline and are waiting with bated breath how they’ll translate it to film.

But, before we can see the actual movie, here’s the first trailer!

X-Men: Days of Future Past stars Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, James McAvoy and Patrick Stewart as young and old Charles Xavier, respectively, Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellen as young and old Magneto, respectively and Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique.

The movie is slated for worldwide release on the 23rd of May next year.
